A Card for the Gift Card

Happy Hellos Everyone:

Can you believe it? The last Monday of March 2012 is here--and almost gone. I hope you took a little time today to enjoy it. Here in Baltimore the day's air was (and still is) crisp and pristine. I haven't posted much lately because my three USB ports are shot. However, I uploaded a photo of this card over a month ago. Originally, I planned to share this card with you around lead day, but that didn't happen. So, I'm sharing it with you today. I though this was a terrific greeting card to give along with a gift card.

As you can see, I have stitched an outside pocket from some translucent paper; added a little lace and ribbon; distress the edges; and topped it off your a button and a girly tag. The DP is something I have had in my stash for quite some time, so I'm not just sure what line it belongs to. My recipient may only wonder...who much.

Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Showering You....

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope your Monday has kicked-off on a high note and that the rest of the week will follow in the same manner. Over the past few days, I have taken the opportunity to play with some of my craft goodies and in doing so, it appears as though I have kept the same them--Keep It Simple. Today's greeting card is no different, besides, you cannot go completely wrong when you yes, 'Keep It Simple.'  Here in Baltimore, it appears as though spring has already arrived. However, according to the calendar it is only moments away--less than 24 hours. So, I thought this card was appropriate enough since in my mind, I'm done with the winter season. I think we all are--with the exception of the folks in Arizona. I heard they're getting hammered with a snow storm today.

Well, I mixed a little of My Favorite Things with a little bit of S.E.I. and this is what I came up with.

Of course I love, love, love, MFT umbrella die and with this S.E.I DP, it just makes a wonderful combination. This paper has spring written all over it. The MFT die will be terrific for a baby or bridal shower and so many other occasions.  As you can see this card is meant to be shared between friends. Thanks so much for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Make A Note of It

Happy St. Patty's Day All:

I'm not sure about you, but I'm feeling a touch of green today. Although, I am far from being Irish. I love to celebrate the holidays and Saint Patrick's Day is no different. I didn't want to create another St.  Patrick's card--in part because I really didn't have a use for it. So instead, I decided  to share a project I completed several weeks ago.  I don't know about you, but I have this thing for journals and books I can record my thoughts, my plans, quotes I come across, and so much more. So, I thought I would make a book I could use or give to a friend at some point. Is it just me or do any of you like journals an blank books too?

Well, any way, take a look.at what I came up with...

As you can see the color green is commonly viewed. I love Tim's embellishment; the flower and both sentiments. I think it turned out rather well. As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Wishing You....

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I'm wishing you a wonderful start to your weekend. I hope your Friday is absolutely 'F'abulous and know, that's fabulous with a capital 'F'.

Before I get on with today's card, I wanted to announce....We Have a WINNER. The first winner of The Peddler's Gallery All Occasion Card/Christmas Card Challenge is...

CAROL

Thanks so much for playing along with me. Carol please e-mail me your mailing address, so I can send you your prize.  If you wanted to play along and did not have an opportunity to, there's always next month. I think I will post the All Occasion Card themes next week to help you plan ahead.

Now, on with today's card.  I recently received a package with some PTI goodies and I wanted to share it with you. Last night, I had so much fun putting this card together for who I'm not quiet sure at the moment.  There are so many March birthdays highlighted on my calendar. Although the card is just about green all over, it has absolutely nothing to do with spring or leprechauns. This card highlights one two of the stamps from the PTI Movers and Shakers Sentiment Stamp Set and the Movers and Shakers Die Set. The leafy die is also a PTI die.

If you look closely you will see where the recipent will pull away from their
birthday greeting card to see the secret suprise message hidden behind the perforated DP.

The leafy image is supported by dimessionals.

I really like how the finish product turned out.

I thought I would provide you with a closer look of the
perforated paper and the embellishment I used from Prima.

Live By Faith

Happy Hellos Everyone:

Just wanted to share something. Today's show and tell is not so much about the actual card than it is about the new DP I stumbled across at my LSS. I'm not sure whether I have mentioned this before, but did I ever tell you how much I absolutely love, love, love Authentique Papers; and not just the DP. I equally love the weight of their paper too. This month I am just head over heals about their Genuine line. As you can see, I could not wait to use it. So, I did. The card itself is pretty simplistic, so you may want to overlook the card and just admire the paper. If you have seen it around, please leave a note to let me know what you think.

The photos are not that great and the card is very simplistic, so
just keep in mind you are suppose to be looking at the DP.

This is what happens when you try to take photos late into the night.
I may have to retake theses photos again.

This is what happens when you have better lightening and a better camera.

Don't forget tomorrow is the last day to enter this month's drawing.
Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Happy Birthday ......to ME

Happy Hellos Everyone:

Yes, today is my birthday and happy birthday to all those who celebrate this day with me. I planned to spend this day away from the office and some time away from blogland too. However, before I do that, I wanted to share a card I made. Originally, it was suppose to be a birthday card to myself, but I couldn't find a birthday sentiment small enough to fit in the upper right hand corner of the card.

Take a look...

This is a new line by Basic Grey. I'll have to give you all the particulars when I return from New York. As you can see, I added some dollies, stamped to transparent paper, and created a flower with ribbon.

Also, don't forget Thursday--the 15th is t he last day to enter into this month's All Occasion Card and/or Christmas Card challenges. I would love for you to play along.

Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

As Promised

Happy Hellos:

As promised, here are my five cards for the All Occasion Card Challenge. I hope to post my cards for the Christmas Card Challenge by this weekend. Take a look...

Happy Girl Scout Day
I purchased this paper months ago not knowing any Girl Scouts, Daisies, or Brownies in mind.
I think it reminded me of my memories as a Campfire Girl. I'm so glad I had it to used.

Saint Patrick's Day
Something old (the paper) and something new (the stamp) makes a great combination.
I love the A'lmode Girls from MFT.

Dr. Suess' Birthday
I just love me some Stamping Bella images and this on is no different.
If you're wondering, the sentiment is computer generated. I thought this was the
perfect card to give to a child to encourage him/her to read.

World Book Day
This stamp is from Inky Antics. I just love this little book worm.
I thought this was anotherperfect card to give to a child to encourage him/her to read.

National Quilting Day

PTI Butterflies

Happy Hellos!!!

Welcome March!!! The whether is wonderful here in Baltimore. I hope it pretty terrific where you are  too. If this is any indication of what the weather will be like during the month of March, then I think Punksatony Phil may have been wrong and the snow and cold weather may be behind us.

Everyone month brings something and this month is no different. Aside from my birthday taking place this month, I have approximately 12 birthday cards to send friends and co-workers. Today, begins the Christmas and the All Occassion Challenges I imposed here at The Peddler's Gallery and I hope you participate in at least one of the two challenges. I started on my all occassion cards last night and I hope to have them uploaded here no later than Saturday morning. Remember, you need to have your cards posted by the 15th to be entered into this month's raffle.

Now, today's card has PTI all over it. Take a look....

Of course I had to kick-off the month with a purple card. If you're wondering what I did, well, I stamped three butterflies (purple, magenta, and green) and I used the PTI scallop dieand butterfly die to achieve the pokka-dot butterfly image. The birthday sentiment is a part of this PTI stamp set. The DP is directly from Memory Box. I really like how this card turned out. Don't be suprise by the number of butterflies you may see here in the coming weeks.

As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
