My Photo-olo-dex

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope you had an opportunity to view the Die-olo-dex entry from yesterday. Perhaps you may have found it useful for some of your dies. Today, I wanted to share a Photo-olo-dex I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. Of course, it didn't take long to put this project together. Life just happened in between.

Take a look...

Unlike yesterday's project, the photo-olo-dex was created
using a paperback book and not an altered cigar box.

If you're wondering, I folded the pages in half using no adhesive.
I found it's better that way. I also distressed the pages with a blue ink.

Adhered some photos to selected DPs and added a few embellishments.
I hot glued  a pre-cut die as the with the word 'family' to indicate to the
viewer who the photos centered around. I was careful not to use too many
embellishment since the majority of the photos centered around my son.

To personalize my project, I added information the photo did not capture
and possibly time would erase. I'm still adding photos; however, I really
wanted to share this with you.

I hope you like my Photo-olo-dex and perhaps you may have been inspired to create one of your own. Well, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

My Die-olo-dex

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope your Memorial Holiday was an enjoyable one. For me, yesterday was a beautiful day to sit back and relax and reflect on those who have come and gone. Often times, it makes me smile when I think about the wonderful memories they have left in my heart.

I know I haven't blogged much over the past two month, but every now and again, I have taken advantage of some of my free time to dabble in a little paper craft. I was inspired to create today's project after visiting Ashley Cannon Newell's blog, A New Design. I visit her blog quite often; however, I came across this project a few weeks back. So, this weekend, I had an opportunity to try to create one of my own.

Just below is what I'm referring to as my Die-olo-dex.

Instead of using a box from Graphic 45, I chose to alter a cigar box I had in my inventory. I don't have the name of the paper I use, but I'll update this information later today. Have to say I absolutely love the paper. I purchased months ago and I had no idea what I was planning to use it for. I just loved the distressed look. Believe it or not, but this project was such a space saver. I have approximately 43 sets of dies in this little box with room to add a few additional dies. This has been the best space saver for me by far. As you can see, I alter some dividers I purchase from a local office supply store; added some labels; and created a die-olo-dex sign. I have to say, I was amazed by the number of small dies I have accumulated...just haven't figured out what to do with my larger dies. Any suggestions???

Well, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon. I'll have a Photo-olo-dex to share with you.

Palm Tree

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I'm glad you popped by. I know I mentioned I was back in my last post, and I am. I've just been busy, busy, busy. Now that I have a new computer, it appears as though I'm in need of a new printer too. I've had my most recent Epson printer for several years, so I really cannot complain now that it is beyond repair. These things just never appear to occur at an appropriate time. In the meantime I'll use my backup until I can replace my Epson.

Today, I wanted to share something with you, but it's not a greeting card. That will be in the next post. This past weekend, I was commissioned to create a fruit display at a reception for a couple that was married on an island earlier last week.  Below are a few photos of the display.

Well, that's it. Thanks for taking the time to stop by
The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

So Nice to be Back in Blogland

Happy Hellos Everyone!!!

It's hard to believe I haven't blogged in over a month. It's so nice be back with all of you. Although, I haven't posted any thing on my blog, I have had an opportunity or two to visit a few blogs. Since my last post, I have had car problems, after car problems, after car problems. On top of that, I had major computer problems too. My previous computer is just a little over one years old. Well, I broke down and purchased the latter--the computer. I hope this one will last a lot longer. With that being said, I hope to begin blogging on a regular basis again.

During my absence, I didn't get to craft much. I think part of it was just me being bumped out about my broken computer. On top of that I had and still have a couple of projects I'm working on that I want to share with you.

Today's card is 'For You.' It says hello spring, welcome, thank you, and perhaps happy birthday too.

Well, feel free to leave me a comment to tell me what do you think.

Thanks for  stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon...perhaps sooner :)
