Just Saying Hello

Happy Hello Everyone:

It's the last day of July 2013 and I can hardly wait to welcome in the month of August. I do not have much to tell you today. However, I wanted to share another card with all of you. Today's card is all about an image I have been wanting to work with for quite some time, but for some reason I have put it on the back burner for far too long. I think I was a little intimidated. Not so much of the image itself, but I have to admit I have seen this image so many time and each one was colored so beautifully. Anyway here is my take. Take a look...

I love my Bling Girl image from KennyK and how she turned out. I especially
love her hair that I colored with COPIC Markers and topped off with a little
Glossy Accents.  I tried to bling her out as much as possible with Stickles.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts Stamps. I'm not sure if you're
able to tell I used Glossy Accents to make her eye glasses pop.

I hope you like her as much as I do.

As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

July Wedding

Happy Hellos Everyone:
I hope all is well with you in your part of the globe. Summer is just racing by from where I stand. It is hard to believe July is almost but a memory. What’s even harder to fathom is I am a parent of a rising sophomore.  Wow!!! Some point soon, I’ll need to begin to purchase textbooks, supplies, and school clothes.
Before the month of July gets away, I wanted to share another card with you.  Traditionally, the month of June has been associated with weddings and lots of folks tie the knot in July and August too. So, I decided today’s card would center around that that theme—nuptials.  Take a look….

I love using the traditional/classic wedding colors. Of a splash of color could
be added in the mix, but I just the cream and black combination. The stamp
I used is from Impression Obsession and I cannot begin to image where
I picked up the ribbon treatment.

I'm not sure whether you recall, I have used nest in several of my baby
shower/congratulations on you baby style cards. For me, just like a baby, the
nest just represents new beginnings.

Perhaps I'm a bit impartial, but I just love it!!!

As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Coming Full Circle

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope all is well with you and yours. Lets just get right into it. Today's post is all about coming full circle. Before I share my card with you, I just wanted to bring some understanding regarding the title of today's post. I have so many irons in the fire right now--hoping at least one of them will strike. To my surprise it appears as though a good number of them are heating up to a point where I may burst with joy and excitement. However, I have made a promise to keep a few things under my hat for just a little while longer. Just know there are a couple of things that I can hardly wait to share. Perhaps in the meantime, I'll just dig a hole and share my news with whatever little critter that will listen.

Okay, on with today's card, take a look....

To begin, I absolutely love love love this DP from CTMH. The colors
are wonderful. The ring out spring is here and summer is on the way.

I wanted to use each and ever pattern and I think I achieve my goal.

I know this was a simple card to create,
but I have to admit, I love how it turned out.

I couldn't use CTMH papers without complementing it by using this
wonderful CTMH stamp set. The sentiments are terrific. This by far isn't the best
photo, but I hope you're able to read some of the sentiments in the other photos I posted.

I attempted to provide the illusion that the entire note card was patterned
front to back, when in fact it is only the front panel that is covered using DP.

As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

College Bound

Happy Hellos Everyone!!!

It's hard to believe the summer of 2013 is almost over. Before you know it, our children will have returned to school and will be deeply immersed in their routine, while this season as we know it will have become a distant memory.

Traditionally, I have made my son a card to encourage and excite him on his first day of school. I believe he looks forward to receiving his cards as much as I look forward to making those special cards. This year, I wanted to make a special card for those students headed off to college. Yes, they may have received a graduation card, but this card is different. I would image this card will be filled with the hopes and dreams and countless possibility wishes a student may require as he  or she begins to prepare to leave the nest and those things that bring them comfort. So, I made this cute card  encouraging him or her to 'enjoy the ride' because you and I know how brief of a ride it is. Take a look...

This is another one of my favorite stamp sets from PTI--Enjoy the Ride.
I used mapped DP to create the little bug car. I thought that was perfect
since most college bound students I know drive instead of fly-off to school.

I tried to enhance the rearview lights and license tag by topping them off with
Glossy Accents--of which can be seen better in the photo above and/or below.

As you can see, I used cloud DP and die cuts to bring more attention to the
clouds. In this case, I also darken the background to make the clouds pop.

If you haven't figured out what's different about this photo and the first couple
of photos,  I'll tell you.Instead of the sentiment coming out of the car window,
it's under the car.

Here's hoping the college bound students in your life
"Enjoy the Ride."

Dylusions Meet PTI PTI Meet Dylusions

Happy Hellos Everyone!!!

I hope all is well with you in your corner of the world. It's hot here on the east coast and I must say, whenever I am outside for more than a minute, I begin to feel like a roasted nut--of  course roasted for because of the heat and nutty for allowing myself self to venture out into these conditions. I hope all of you are doing your best to stay cool.

In the mist of remaining cool, I have managed to carve some time solely for creating. Oh, I love when I am able to do that. I can honestly say, I believe this post can be enjoyed by everyone that drop by to visit. Today's post is all about introductions. It is my Dylusions Meet PTI, PTI Meet Dylusions post and let me just say, I had a wonderful time creating these wonderful cards. Take a look...

Okay, let me pre-warn you, I couldn't decide what photos to
select to show you. Needless to say, I had a hard time
 narrowing the number of photos.

As mentioned this is my Dylusions Meet PTI, PTI Meet Dylusions post. I had
such an amazing time creating this awesome background. If you recall I
used the same technique for my Surf's Up post.

Each zodiac sign background from slightly to dramatically.
This makes each card unique in its own way.

As you see, stars are seen throughout the background.
I wanted to ensure the zodiac sign would not be hard
to find, so I added a little bling to each sign.

I love the Leo background.

Adding the silver background on top of the black background, makes the stars  pop.

I think this background was my favorite. How about you?
Do you like that marble effect?

This is one of my newest stamp sets--Star Gazer Stamp
Set from PTI and I just love it. There's something in
this stamp set for everyone.

Well, continue to enjoy the photos and be sure to share your comments.

Warm Wishes

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope your weekend has been a wonderful one thus far. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been dedicated to building up my birthday card stash. I must admit, I've done quite well. I think I surprise myself by just how much I have managed to accomplish. That is, in between working on updated and revision to Blew Monday, real work, and every thing else that seems to come along; I have been pretty busy.

Having said that, take a look at today's card....

One of my favorite images to stamp are flourishes. It appears as though
every time I stamp a flourish I get a new image. I'm not certain whether that's
true or not. It could be the color I stamp the flourish or t
he location in which it's stamped.

The flourish is from Stampendous. I'm not sure if you're able to see,
but the flourish has been stamped using two colors--red and orange.

If I'm not mistaken, the sentiment stamp is a from a Heros Arts set, I
purchased a while back.

I added a favorite DP from S.E.I. and to bring it all together, I added ribbon.
and accented it with three roses.

Just for You

Happy Hello Everyone:

I hope all is well in your little corner of the world. It's summertime here on the east coast; however, there is reminence of spring that continues to linger---rain, lots of rain. I won't complain, since there is no need to. When I look at all the other things that are taking placejust on the other side of the Mississippi, it would be very selfish of me to do so.

Beside, I have some wonderful news to share with you, but unfortunately, I have to hold off just a little while longer. I know. I know. I know. I will let this much out of the bag--Blue Monday. Sometimes, I can be such a tease. ;)   I hope to be able to share a little more with you over the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, I do have a card to share with you today. Take a look...

I'm not certian where I purchase the black and white paper from, but I love it.
It's has the feel of cloth. The bottom paper is DP from My Mind's Eye. Love
this too. To me, the card just has a classy look.

The sheer ribbon treatment adds that little extra to this beautiful card.

Lastly, I added a little bling across the card, a couple of stickpins to accent
the ribbon; and created an emblishment with a sentiment stamp form SU.

Bring on the Happy

Happy July Everyone:

The month of July was once upon us and now it's here. A part of me feels as though it could be the month of April. April showers does bring May flowers. Although, residents on the East Coast may agree July showers will bring August flowers--perhaps? Regardless, I suppose within the next couple of weeks, I'll begin the task of school shopping. Just the thought of that makes me think that topic is for another time and another post.

Today's card is all about 'Bring On the Happy." I needed to concentrate not only on just birthday cards, but I needed birthday cards for my male recipients.  I loved how todays card turned out and I hope you will too. It has simplicity written all over it. Take a look...

This was such a fun card to create. I think I may have to create a few more.
As you can see, I used a few scraps and a bit of the daily newspaper.

I cut the card base and an additional panel slightly shorter than the base.
I rounded off the edges and use one of my favorite go-to stamp sets from
PTI to stamp the sentiment. I love using 'bring on the happy.' Sometimes
saying, 'Happy Birthday' just seems so over used at times.

Since this card is intended for a male recipient, I didn't want to over embellish
it with ribbon/bow or bling. Instead, I tied off a small piece of ribbon and a metal brad.

As always, thanks for stopping by
The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
