First Glance at Mother's Day

Hi Everyone:

What do you think? Here is the first look at my Mother's Day cards collection. I know a lot of mothers and last year I suprised several when they recieved their card.

I was excited about this card because this past weekend I attend a COPIC 102 Class. What made it that much more exciting, we didn't make any cards in class. All the instructor conscentrated on was technique. I walked away from the class knowing I learned something and I could used the techniques that were taught. I took a COPIC 101 Class at a nameless location, but I didn't recieved quite as much from it. Thanks for taking time to stop pass The Peddler's Gallery.

What A Weekend...

I have been busy this weekend. Fun busy. Look what I managed to accomplish. I went to my first Stamp Camp with a new SU demonstrator. I didn't realize how much I missed going to stamp camp--meeting new people, learning all kinds of things, sharing interests. If nothing else, camp pumped me up. First, I began with my Easter cards. I still  have a few more to do. Overall all I was pretty please.
Then I made this next cute little card. I'm still not sure whether or not if it is going to be sent as a Mother's Day or birthday card. I case the style of card from another blog. I ran as translucent sheet of material through my Cuttlebug and I color my flowers using various hues of reds, greens, and yellow COPIC markers. Then topped it off with a poka-dotted pink bow.

I also managed to emboss several of my cards this weekend too---this being one of the few. I love SU's Medallion stamp! I made these cards, 'Thinkging of You' cards. The best part about this style card is, it can easily be made to have a masculine feel by using a warmer color like black, brown, navy or even a metalic color. What you think? I would have to admit, with the exception of a few cards, this weekend's theme was centered around floral design. I created these cards for many of my family and friends that will celebrate a birthday in April. Again, I used my wonderful Cuttlebug--love it, love it, love it! I also used various COPIC markers--love them too and my new nestabilities from Spellbinders. Unlike my tranlucent card, I embossed the image on this card after watching a couple of tutorials. I think the cards look better in person, but at lease you have and idea. As you can see, I duplicated the cards using different colors to gain a slightly different look. Hope you like what you see. As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery. Come back again.

New Stampin' Stuff--I Love Birthdays

I am so glad the challenge I placed on myself is officially over. You just don't know! It was beginning to feel more like a curse and less of a challenge. I kept getting some kind of creative block every time I got near my supplies to begin to create a card. It had gotten so bad; I couldn't seem to create anything with a purple hue. Who ever thought? Now, that was creepy. Rest assured--I will not create any new long term challenges for myself anythime soon. However, it doesn't mean I will not participate in a challenge.  :)
You want to hear something? Okay, I know you can't literally hear me. It just reads better to me. Work with me.  :)

Well as I previously mentioned in an earlier post, Friday was my birthday and over the weekend I recieved many well wishes and suprisingly gifts too including a handmade card from my friend, Chris. I appreciated each and every gift (and that includes all my birthday wishes). THANKS EVERYONE!!! Amongst my gifts, I recieved a package in the mail that included several stamps from Verve Stamps, Gina K Designs, Flourishes, and There She Goes; and in this same package, I recieved the Sure-Cut-A-Lot software. I heard so many good things about this software. I can't wait to use it! I can't wait to use all my new stuff and post my projects on the blog for you to see. I have a lot of project to complete too.Aside from working on my March/April birthday greeting cards, I want to concentrate on my Easter and Mother's Day cards. And then there's Father's Day and ...well, I won't entertain the other celebrations just yet. Look for me to post my most recent card this evening. Until then, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery.

Who Said It Was My Birthday

It's no suprise...today's my  birthday. However, the celebration will not begin until tomorrow. Although the weather isn't forcast to be that great, I am anticipating an excellent turnout. And once again, I have produced another card that's missing the color purple. That's okay. That card is coming. In the meantime, I cased this scetch from Vera. I have a few male friends that have birthdays approaching in  coming weeks and I wanted to be prepared. As I mentioned in an early posting. Hope you like it and thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery!

Blue is for Bouncing Baby Boy

Still no purple and that's okay. As my son would say, 'This isn't you best card, but I like it.' I would have to agree with Kevin. Every since I challenge myself, I find I have gotten home later and more fatiqued than the evening before. Only a couple more days to go. Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery.

Going Green

It's still not purple. However, in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, spring, and of course 'Going Green,' dedicate this card. I also created this card for a good friend of mine who will celebrate her birthday this month too. Thanks for stopping by the gallery.

Meeting My Challange

I'm tired and have very little to offer other than, I thought this had a motherly feel. I cased this from someone from SCS. Sorry I don't have the link. Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery.

Not What, Where or When, but....WHO

This is a suprise! I planned to kick-off my birthday week with a card surrounded in purple hues. You know what is said about the best laid plans. For the past couple of days I have been stuck on blue and brown. I don't know what's going on. I'm a plum kinda girl. Also, I'm still behind in my self-imposed challenge. Well, I'm behind if you don't count the duplicate cards I made of those that I posted. Technically, the duplicates aren't reall y duplicates since I altered them in some way, shape or form. :) Nevertheless, I'm still creating.

I'm so proud of the card I am posting today. I was inspired by this card posted by Michelle Zindorf. Simply put--her work is AWESOME. Now when or if you click on to Michelle's link please keep in mind I am a true novice and I either had to subsitute product(s) or simply omitt a product or two. Most importantly, my lil' man loves this card. I haven't titled this card, yet, but I think the caption will read, '...' Okay, I don't know just this minte, but I'll come up with something ...soon. Leave me a note and let me know what you think. Thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery

Please, Have A Seat

Every since I challenged myself, it has been difficult to craft a card, but just know I haven't given up on myself. So, are you participating in the challenge? What have you create? See you tomorrow.

March Madness

When I think of the month of March, soooooooo many things come to my mind. March represents many things for many people. As for yours truly, well, I think about the handoff of the seasons--Winter to Spring, March Madness, Women's History Month--you know we've made major contributions :), St. Patrick's Day and you can't forget about that floating holiday--Easter, spring break (for those of us that may have children in our lives). Lastly, I couldn't overlook National Craft Month and my birthday, of course. So, in honor of all the special observances, I have challenged myself and ll my crafty friends (especially Jeana, Cassandra, Chris, Vera and  Renee) to join me in creating a new card and/or scrap page every day from now until next Saturday, March 12th. Currently, I am one card behind schedule, but I hope to be caught up by tonight. I'll post a new card until then. Feel free to share your creation/link on The Peddler's Gallery. See you tomorrow!!!

I Created My First Sketch

Yesterday, I completed my first sketch. As soon as I began, I got a serious case of creative mental block. Nothing was working for me. However, late last night, I came up with this card. I know we are our worst critics, but it's not my best. The mental block wasn't casused by completing the sketch. The mental block was came into play because I am also entering this card into a sketch competition that closes on March 3rd. I'm not expecting to win. I'm just getting my feet wet.
Speaking of getting my feet wet...if you are revisiting my blog you will notice I have made changes since your last visit. I'm learning alot and I'm trying to put to use the things I have learned. There are many other things I have on my list of 'Things I Want to Learn How to Do.' So keep watching and leave a note to let me know what you think or that you stopped passed The Peddler's Gallery.
