Oh The Places You'll Go

Happy Hellos Everyone!

I hope you have been enjoying my parade of handcrafted cigar keepsake boxes. My fingers are mentally crossed. Since I believe you have, I have another unique keepsake box to share.

I have been fortunate to have traveled the globe.  So, when I saw this line from (who else?) Graphic45 I had to have it. As I began to peer over the various designs in this line, immediately, I was taken back to some unforgettable places, experiences, people, moments in time... I caught myself smiling. Take a look, you may catch yourself smiling too.

Here you'll discover three postage stamps in
3-D effect highlighting Germany, Italy and France.

There are two varied background to this keepsake
box. The top background features multi-color postage
stamps from all around the world. The lower part of
this keepsake box identify various names of popular
 toured cities around the world.

Here are my handcrafted feet. These feet give the illusion the feet
are made from pieces of leather.

I considered this unique because the original contents were
 packaged upright.

Notice the red strip that separates the
lid from the bottom and how the inside
copper lining coordinate with the feet.
Also notice how the box lifts up.

Here is a clear view of the background image.

Lastly, as the recipient of this awesome keepsake box one could
make use of this box as he or she please to. Among all the other
things I do, I am a collector of writing pens. I thought this was an
excellent place to store my favorite writing instruments.

Well, when what do you think?

PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM

Happy Hellos Everyone!

On this Valentine's Day, I have a wonderfully sweet keepsake box to share with you. I love the finished product and I believe you will feel the same way too. It has an ol' tyme musical feel. This keepsake box would be perfect for you if you are a music lover or for that beloved music teacher. Take a look and share your thoughts.

I absolutely love this box. It has a feature most of my other cigar
boxes of my other boxes do not offer.

Can you hear the music? This ol' tyme musical theme line brought
this once cigar box to life. To begin, take a look at the legs of the
keepsake box. Is it just me or do these legs remind you of the
 old style piano legs.

I opted to lightly emboss this keepsake box because I felt very
little was needed. However, the future owner could
embellish this keepsake with his/her personal memorabilia.

The ticket were age once again to accent the ol' tyme feel.

Notice the detailed marquee with musical terminology associated
with an entertainer that highlights the outside of the edge of the lid.

Just like the previous photo, notice the classic draped red

curtains often found in the yesterday's theater.

I distressed all edges of the box provides accent to that ol' tyme feel.

Before I let you see inside the keepsake box, I wanted to show
you the unique feature this box that most of the others do not.
This keepsake box can open by using the top lid or the front lid.

Inside the box, you discovers old style news paper and musical notes.

Looking outward, notice the musical
notes above and the drop down faux piano keys.

The same piano keys can be found on the opposite side.

Let me just say, it took everything in me not to add a touch of glitter on this box and I am so glad I did not. I wanted it to be desired by a male or a female. Beside, for those of you that like things to sparkle a bit, I have something complementary to share with you in the next day or two.

Wild Safari Keepsake Box

Happy Hellos Everyone!!!

I hope your Saturday kicked off on a high note. Let me just say, [in case you were wondering] in no way have I given up on creating what I love best and that is of course creating wonderful greeting cards. Lately, I have enjoyed creating wonderful keepsake boxes. Perhaps, by this time next week, I will have some greeting cards to share with you. However, as for this moment in time, I has a special keepsake box suitable for so many occasions. It's perfect for that themed baby shower, that lover of wild animals, or the individual that has just returned from a trip the safari. This keepsake box would be the perfect place to store those unique findings and photos. Take a look and be sure to share your thoughts.

Once again Graphic45 has done it again.
I have loved this Safari Adventure line from
the moment I saw it. I could not wait to get my hands on it.

I wanted to create something different so, I pulled from my card making
skills and created a shaker lid.

I filled the lid with a small assortment of brown, green and gold sequences.

Ordinarily, a box this size would not be shaken; however, whenever the box is
opened or closed the sequences will move.

I created the 3D Wild Safari signage by using paper tiles and sealing it in a
clear adhesive.

Inside the box, you will find a jungle safari lined in gold.

The inside lid was made into a tightly nit pocket.

I repeated the same technique here using a
smaller tile to highlight the tropical bird.

Down under you will find the greener part
of the jungle and handmade giraffe pattern feet.

Don't forget to share your thoughts.

The Ring Please

Good Morning Everyone & Happy Hellos:

I hope all is well with you. So happy you stopped by today. I have a wonderful rich simplistic unisex keepsake box that has a Turkish feel I wanted to share with you. That was a mouthful of adjectives wasn't it. Scroll down and take a look.

This once slider cigar box has been transformed to store your beautiful rings.

This keepsake box has wrapped with embossed paper.

Then it was adorned with a rich brown ribbon that created a Turkish feel.

It's hard to see, but a thick velvet foam with
 slits has been placed inside.

The keepsake box was given feet.

Lastly, I forgot to mention the uncovered wood trimming
was given a deeper hue and polished.

As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
