Happy Hellos Everyone:
By now you may be aware of my trip last week to Atlanta, Georgia. Well, let me tell you....I had a fabulous time with my SOC sistahs and my cousin. Before I begin to tell you about my time in the ATL--as my cousin Carolyn, the high school teacher affectionately refers to Atlanta, I want to send a shout-out to all of my family and friends that reside in Georgia. Notice, I said Georgia. "You people do not, I repeat, do not live in Atlanta." :) I don't think I know anyone that actually lives in that city. Most of you live 30 minutes to an hour away from the ATL. Some of you actually have different area codes. Okay, I just felt like I needed to put it out there.
I had a terrific time. While in Atlanta, I had an opportunity to visit a few historical sites that I plan to share with you later in a scrapbook I plan to make. So, be sure to be on the look out for that project in the next couple ofyears...I mean weeks. (LOL) Now, many of the historical sites were entertaining not to mention educational, but one of my best experiences in the ATL was hanging out with my SOC sistahs--Luana and Chanda. We shopped the LSS and the local craft stores until we almost dropped.
The day kicked off at Bahama Breeze. The restaurant was wonderful. For a moment you may have felt as though you were on the island of Kennasaw. The food was great! Sorry, no photos. The meal was gone before the thought popped in my head. After the meal we had a photo opt just outside the restaurant. See...
Then it was off to that place I so often read about on-line over at Scraps of Color. That's right, ARCHIVER'S!!! Let's just say, I had a good while I was there.
I not only got an opportunity to do a little shopping, I met up with SOC founder, Tiare Smith while I was there. See...
From Archiver's we traveled to JoAnne's, Hobby Lobby, and Michaels. I was ready to hit a few other places, but I we were beginning to get hungry---shopping tends to effect me that way. On top of that, it was after 6 PM and I still needed to get to Target and make to the airport to make my flight by 9 PM. Let me just say, by the time I made it to the boarding gate, there were no minutes to spare. Passengers were boarding the plane. Now that's a sign of a good trip.
Thanks again to my SOC sistahs--Luana and Chanda for such a memorable day.
As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

What a fun time you had in Atlanta! You're so lucky to have your lovely big craft shops, we only have one big company here in the UK, and the rest are mostly independant retailers. Looks like your weather was fab too xx
Oh it looked like you had a blast! How great it was to meet and hang out with some of the SOC sistahs IRL too! I look forward to seeing what you create with your trip pics!
Lorie, I enjoyed reading your post. It looks like you all had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing this.
Hugs, Karen
