Thank You, Teacher

Happy Hello Everyone:
I hope everyone that observe Memorial Day had a wonderful holiday weekend. Although, I have not lost anyone to war or conflict, Memorial Day is an opportunity to remember those who have lost their lives to protect and defend. It's also a wonderful time to remember family and friends that are no longer with us. The thoughts of those who have left unforgetable footprints on my heart makes me smile.

Over this weekend, I had an opportunity to make a thank you card for a friend to give to her daughter's kindergarden teacher. I actually made a mini scrapbook for Alisa, the graduating kindergarden that I will share with you in tomorrow's post. Just below is the thank you card.

I'm happy how my card turned out. I love the vibrant colors. The colors are definitely striking. The cardstock is from PTI and the DP is Elementary Signature Elements from Simple Stories. I picked up that beautiful bright orange ribbon in the ATL. I just love. I can't tell you when the last time I pulled out my sewing machine before today (yesterday actually). I'll definitely have to use the sewing machine more than I have in the past. Did you check out the sentiment stamp? I picked up that stamp and a few others in the dollar bend at Michaels in Atlanta too. I love the font on this stamp and the other dozen. Yes, when I finished counting, I had a baker's dozen. The buttons and the other ribbon came from my stash. As you can see, I created a booker marker from a tag. I think Tim Holtz would be oh so proud. Besides that, I just love functional art.

Well, what do you think? I hope you like it and I hope I provided you with some inspiration. As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon to see what else I may have picked up from the ATL.
