Happy Hump Day Everyone:
I know this may read not read well. Knowing this is 'Hump Day' n'all and having just return to work after a week of being away, I am looking forward to this Friday. I hope that doesn't read as though I didn't appreciate my time away from work; however, I am doing some major catch-up type of work and every thing has a due date of yesterday. Please don't misunderstand me. I love what I do and the that I'm able to do so. In the evenings, I truely look forward to getting to my craft room to shake some of that other stuff off and yesterday was no different. I managed to make what I think is a cute little card for this week's challenge over at Off the Wall Challenge. Checkout the inspirational photo below.
I was feeling the green, brown, and blues hues (in that order). Well, this is what I managed to create.
While in the ATL I was able to get to a few of the LSSs. Okay, let me re-phase that--I was able to get to a few of the LSSs in the surrounding areas of the ATL with the help of two of my SOC sistahs. (Thanks again ladies.) I'll elaborate a little more on that in my next post. Anyway, I wanted to put a few of my new purchases to use. I hate when I purchase something and not use it. So, I used two of my new stamps I picked up inAtlanta, my apologies, I purchased in Kennasaw. I purchased the image stamp from Hobby Lobby is Couple In Love by American Art Stamp and the sentiment stamp is from Michaels' dollar bin basket. You may want to get over to Michaels. I really liked fonts on these particular dollar stamps. There were about 15 to choose from. I wouldn't dare think of telling you how many I now have. (LOL) As you can see I used my Copic markers to for the bottom portion of the image and I paper pierced the umbrella. I stamped the image on the tiny paper bag. I purchased a set of 12 bags from Hobby Lobby too. Aren't they just too cute? I cut the bottom portion of the colored image and adhered it to the paper bag. The paper pieced umbrella was adhered to the brown paper bag with dimenissionals. As you can see, I stuck a small piece of coordinating ribbon in the bag along with a brief note. The third stamp is from WSM and the matching DP are from The Yellow Bicycle. The matching ribbon (which I love) and pearls are from my statch and the cardstock and border dye is from PTI.
Well, I hope you like it and perhaps you may have been inspired too. As always, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
