I Love You x3

Okay, I promise this is the last card for the evening. I promise.

This week I thought I would try something different. I thought I would complete a WMS Challenge in the early part of the week oppose to the latter part of the week. So without further ado, below is this week's WMS Challenge sketch....

...and this is what I drew from it...

Thanks for taking time to stop by and visit The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Something For You

Hi Everyone:

Okay, this post is for you!

I finally finished the mini-scrapbook album. If you recall I previously posted on June 14th that I had a give-a-way for all of my Followers. The message read as follows...

ATTENTION: An Imperative Read
For all FOLLOWERS

Before I get into today's card I wanted to mention, I've noticed over the past few weeks, my Followers list has grown. I would like to welcome all who have become recent Followers. "So, welcome. It's so nice to know you're here. I hope you find yourself inspired and perhaps entertained. Above all else, please do feel free to share." If you notice, I have reached 75 Followers and there have been more than 10,000 people to visit the gallery and to celebrate, I decided to make a mini album to give away to one of my Followers. The winner of the mini album will be announced on the 4th of July. As a Follower all you have to do is leave a comment on the post dated June 14th stating you would like to win the mini album and perhaps it will be yours. As soon as I complete the album, I will post it right here. Good Luck!!!

Aside from the album I made for this year's 4th of July celebration to capture the highlights, I haven't made a scrapbook in over four years. I've been to occupied making greeting cards. Something happened while visiting the ATL. I got bit by the scrapbooking. Then I bought the Cinch, and I have been having fun every since.

I used the remaining scraps from the album I created for my family and friends to make this album. I plan to share that album with you after the 4th of July. Just below are a few snapshots of the mini album I created for you.

The ampercent symbol was Photoshopped in. I thought, 'Stars & Strips' made an excellent title; however, I wanted the recipient to be able to personalize the album him or herself.

I fell for BoBunny's Liberty series the moment I saw it. I hope you like it too.
Thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and don't forget to check back on the
4th of July to see if you won this mini scrapbook album.

Once Again "Hello":

I wanted to participate in the ColorQ  & STAMPtacular Sunday Challenge this week. I hope you are not tired of seeing the trimming I picked up in the ATL last month, but I just simply love it. When I see it, the trimming just reaps 'Let's Celebrate.' It's not a lot to this card, but usually simplistic cards are the best. This will be my first entry for a challenge over at ColorQ and STAMPtacular Sunday. I have been eyeing them for some time now and I just thought I would throw my card into the mix. Just below is the inspirational photo and requirements for the challenges this week...

This week's challenge is a…
“STARS & STRIPES!”
For this weeks challenge you will create a card or project that includes both STARS and STRIPES! Can be any colors you choose but must be able to see stars and stripes! Oh…and don’t forget to stamp! After all, we don’t call this STAMPtacular for nothing!

Nice colors huh? Well, this is what I created from those nice colors.....

It's a fun whimsical card that's even more vibrant in person. Notice how the words, 'We the People' runs right into 'Celebrate' and did you take note of how my trimming mirrors strips? I love it! Well, thanks for taking the time to stop by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

One Card, Two Challenges

I'm back! Don't forget, I worned you. Using this card, I was able to get a two for one kinda deal. I believed this is my second time participating in the Color Throwdown challenge. This week over at Color Throwdown participants are challenged to use the inspirational colors below....

I found the colors to be challenging to say the least, but I think I managed to pull it off. By creating a distress opening for the sentiment, I met the requirements to participate in the Casual Fridays Challenge too. This week we are Getting Edgy! Use your border punches, rip some cardstock, whatever your pleasure to add a fun edge to your Clean And Simple project!
Take a look at what I created....

Well, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Happy Hellos Everyone:

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in Baltimore and I hope wherever you are it's just as beautiful. I have to for warn you there are a couple of post that will follow my initial post today. Hopefully, you have an opportunity to stop by again to take a look at what I managed to create. I began to think, this week would probably appear to me as a blur when I thought of all the things I wanted and need to do prior to the fourth of July celebration. So, yesterday I worked on a few cards and a project, I wanted to share with you.

First up is a card I made to participate in this week's challenge over at CR84FN. I have to tell you... I wanted this stamp every since I first laid eyes on it months ago. However, my LSS did not carry it until recently. I must admit, I was a little disappointed when I received my stamp. It was a mini. So, I didn't use it, until now. Since I'm admitting things....I was happy with my little mini--very happy--like happy hellos, happy. I should have used it long ago.  Well anyway, just below is the inspirational photo..

I thought the color selection was wonderful--very seasonal.
...as a result, this is what I created....

This was actual a fun card to make. Who couldn't love a flowered hot air balloon? Hot air balloons seems to be perfect for just about any occasion. Well, as always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery. I hope you like what you've seen and perhaps it may have inspired you too. Come back and visit real soon.

Bonjour

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope your Friday has kicked off to a terrific start. Once again this week, I have another brief post to share with you. Today's card is all about this week's challenge over at Waltzing Mouse. I really wanted to participate in this week's challenge. We were asked to look at the past 50 sketches over the last year. Select our favorite and create a card from the sketch of your choice. Easy Right??? Wrong. After looking over all the sketches, I couldn't determine a favorite so, I just selected one. Below is the sketch I selected. I also decided to enter this card in The Ribbon Reel challenge after recieving a comment from one of the DT members--thanks Pauline!

...and this is my creation....

It's A Boy!

Happy Hellos:

Another abbrievated post. Today's card centers around that special baby boy. I entered this card in this week's challenge over at Mojo Monday. After completing the card, I began to think of so many other things I could have done to improve the design of my entry. I don't know about you, but that seems to always happen to. Well, without futher ado, below is this week's sketch over at Mojo Monday....

Congratulations!!!

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I know it's been a minute since my last post. You know 'that life' can really keep you busy.(LOL) Just like my introductory sentences, this post will be brief also. Today's card is for a challenge over at Off The Wall Craftiness.  By the way, I love the color selection for this challenge. I think you will too. If you didn't know, it's not to late to participate in this challenge.

Just below is the inspirational photo....

You Know the Saying....

If you don't succeed, try, try, again.

And that's why I am back! Yesterday, I challenged myself to complete a couple of challenges. By the time I finished cooking dinner, running errands, and recieving a recap of the day's highlights from my number one son, much of my time had been consumed. By the time I sat down, the premiere of Memphsis Blues was going off and HawthoRNe was airing. So, needless to say cards #2, #3, and #4 were not created. Of course, this evening didn't differed much from last night. Although I made enough dinner to have leftovers, I only created one card. On top of that, the masculine card theme went out of the window and cards #3 and #4 are still waiting to be created. The good news is, I was able to use tonight's card in two seperate challenges. So without futher ado, take a look at the inspiration sketch from Waltzing Mouse and the colors from the Color Throwdown.....

...and this is what I was inspired to create....

This was such a fun card to make. You may noticed from the photo that some of the smaller dollies have a shimmer. If you enlarge the photo, you will see those dollies are covered in clear microbeads--a super medium to work with.

I hope I was able to provide a little inspiration for you. Thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

A Card For Him

HappyWednesday Everyone!

I hope you are having a 'Terrific Tuesday.'This evening's goal was to come home and create at least cards #2 and  #3 for this week and begin working on card #4 when the new season of HawthoRNe begins tonight.. I enjoy that show and Drop Dead Diva. Do you remember when nothing good aired during the summer months? Now, in addition to those two, I also look forward to watching Rosalie and Isles too. Do you have a favorite program you like to watch as you create? I know the television is usually playing in the background; however, seldom am I actually watching it.

So, anyway, I need to produce a few masculine cards. Of course Father's Day is just around the corner, but I am also in need of a few cards for some up coming birthdays for a couple of my male friends. The wheels in my head started to churn and the colors craft and blue came to mind. The color white or should I say the lack of color is a given. I came across a challenge or two where the colors I selected would work well.

After reading my friend Pauline's blog, Craft Obsession, I decided to participate in the Ribbon Reel Challenge for the first time. If you're interested, hop on over. It's not too late to play along. Just below is the inspirational photo:

...and this is what I created....

I hope you were inspired by my masculine card. As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Ahhhhh....The Weekend

Happy Hellos Everyone:
I hope your weekend wonderful! For Kevin & I, well be stayed busy. We were up an out pretty early on Sarturday. We setup at a local flea market, but we were rained out and that was okay by me. A part of me wanted to be back at home working on the two mini albums I started. I hardly wait to share them with you. I think they really look terrific. Currently, I do not have any photos in either album, but you'll get the picture--pun intended.

Before I could get home from the flea market, it was time to go again. This time, it was off to church for junior ushers' practice for Sunday's anniversary service and run a few more errands. According to the clock, it was only six o'clock, and I was exhausted. By the time I was able to return home, I didn't have too much energy to do any thing, but some how I was able to add a few pages to the mini albums.

Now, on to the card of the day....

There are so many wonderful challenges to select from, I didn't know where to begin. There was the one I missed by less than 30 minutes, then there were the faithful ones I love to participate in and lastly, there were a few new challenges I recently discovered that made me want to play along as well. I didn't want to give up one for another so, I decided to challenge myself to see just how many I would be able to complete this week.

First up...is the Monday Mojo Challenge. Every week I want to participate and for some reason it doesn't happen. So, I thought, 'Why not make it happen? Why not make this the first of the challenges I would like to participate in?' I didn't follow the sketch to the 'T.' By the time I sat down at the craft table I had lost a little of my mojo. It was now Monday evening and I had made a couple stops after work; came home a cooked dinner; began preparing for the next day's lunch and dinner. By the time that was done, so was a part of me. Anyway I really like my color selection. You can't go wrong with pink & green--ask any soror from the A.K.As. As for the image, well, this is one of my favorite stamps--Superbella. You gotta love her. Just below is this week's Mojo Monday's Sketch....

... and this  is what I submitted....
