A Touch of the Season

Happy Hellos Everyone:

T.G.I.T. That's right, thank God it's Thursday! That could only mean Friday is just around the corner and the weekend is upon us--that is, the extended weekend is upon us. I hope you are enjoying the parade of boxes here at The Peddler's Gallery because I am having a wonderful time exhibiting my altered cigar boxes to you. Today's box has an encore appearance kinda feel. That is, once again I decided to use that wonder new Christmas line of designer papers from Stampin' Up. If you remember, when I first received this line from Stampin' Up a couple of weeks ago, alter a different style of box with the same papers. Although, I used the same papers, today's box has a unique feel to it. After I altered the box, my first thought was this was a perfect box to store holiday photos and I still feel the same way. However, after you take a look at the photos below, tell me, what would you put in this altered box [if anything at all].

You may have come to the conclusion that I like patterns, lots of patterns.
That would be safe to assume as much as I love this ribbon. I picked this ribbon
up at least two years ago and never used it. That's not surprise. I tend to hold
onto things I really like--waiting for that perfect project to use it on.

I used some of Tim Holtz's  and Prima embellishments to
decorate the sliding lid of this particular box.

If you noticed, I also left a small portion of the cigar
box exposed by using the translucent flocked paper.

Checkout the feet made from die. This particular die has twelve sides all
numbered from one thru twelve. I have officially decided that each
one of the sides represents one of the twelve days of Christmas.

The tag reads, 'Memorable Moments' because as I mentioned in the intro,
I thought this box was perfect for storing holiday/wintry photos. Did notice
the inside of the box was lined?

Here, I just wanted you to see the two different papers
I used to cover the sides of the cigar box.

I hope you enjoyed today's feature altered cigar box,
and as always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Gorgeous box! I can think of all kinds of things that could go in this beautiful creation. You could put special handmade ornaments from the kids or grandkids from christmases past (I have lots of those). You could have family and friends write down a favorite christmas memory or a special note as to what they love about each member in the family and keep those in the box. YOu could put special notes to Santa to read as he is having his milk and cookies. Lots of ideas! Thanks so much for joining us this week at 52CCT!
