A Splash of Paint

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope all is well with you. I hope you have enjoyed the wonderful holidays. It's hard to believe 2012 is coming to an end. Time continues to fly by. I looked at my last post and I began to count the number of days that have past. December has always been a busy month and this December hasn't differed any. In my family there are birthdays to celebrate; parties to attend; to plan for that matter too. I have managed to get just about all of my holiday cards in the mail with the exception of the last 15. Those recipients will receive new years cards [just as soon as I finish making them].

Today's post is all about the latest challenge over at the Christmas Card Challenge blog. This week we are asking all those that plan to participate in the challenge to incorporate a little paint into your card this week. I've come up with something fun that I hope you will like or perhaps it may inspire you. Take a look and feel free to leave me a comment.

For this week's challenge I went with a combination Christmas/wintry theme.
I pulled out lots of goodies including DP from Yellow Bicycle; Spellbinder
dies; Stampin' Up stamps; my special glitter mixture; ribbon; and of course paint.

I intentionally used a minimal amount of paint around
the base of the inscribed tree and around just before
I added the glitter snow to outline the window.

Lastly, I topped the tree off with a bow.

Now, that you have my take on this week's challenge, what's yours? Please take an opportunity to visit my team members blogs to see their take on this week's challenge.

As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

Happy New Years!!!! I hope your holidays were enjoyable and restful. I just love this card. I love the paint you added and the oval shaped opening. The tree shaped sentiment is so pretty. Great job and have a lovely day.
