Introducing the Christmas Card Challenge

Happy Hellos Everyone:

I hope all is well with you this sensational Sunday. What a terrific time to stop by The Peddler's Gallery. Aside from this being my first post of December 2012, and that there are only 23 days remaining before Christmas, today's post is my first post as a new Design Team Member with the Christmas Card Challenge. I hope over the next year you will consider playing along with the weekly challenges. There's lots of benefits doing so, including having enough Christmas cards to send to family and friends this time next year--not to mention not having that rush feeling to create Christmas cards in a short period of time. Besides you know how the saying goes, 'There's no time like the present.' Each week will present something new. This week's challenge is centered around this sketch....

If you make two cards per challenge, you'll have at
least 100 Christmas cards by this time next year.

This was a fun card to created. I got to pull out so many wonderful
goodies from Authentique, Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Recollections and more.

The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. It say just enough for this
wintry greeting card and works well as an embellishment.

Instead of stamping an image, I elected to use an image of
one of the birds from my DP. I highlighted the birds with
 distress ink form Ranger Ink.

For me, a little bling softens the look of a card as well as scallop edges
[I achieved with a Stampin Up punch].

I think the black and lime-green netting was
just enough of a ribbon treatment for this card.

Now, that you have my take on this week's sketch, what's yours? If time permits, please take an opportunity to visit my team members blogs to see their take on this week's sketch challenge.

If today, was your first visit to the gallery and you like what you've seen consider becoming a follower. As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
