Happy Hellos Everyone!!!
You know, I was thinking, 'It's always nice when....when you can use a stamp you've used previously. When I say previously, I really mean over, and over, and over again. The stamp I'm referring to is the type of stamp you don't want to give away or stop using it at all because the fact is, you really like it. I don't know about you, but I have several stamps that fit this description--more so holiday stamps (i.e. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, etc.) You definitely don't want a recipient to recieve a card stamped with the image you gave to him/her the year before. Right!
Well, yesterday I was playing with the idea of adding a coaster to my cards for Mother's Day, Father's Day and perhaps in summer birthdays. Everybody likes to discover little something in a card every now and then. So, I pulled out my little goodies and commenced to creating a coaster. I was pleased with the results. I called my son to get his opinion as I often do. Kevin really liked it. He suggested I should teach another art class at his school for Mother's Day and/or Father's Day. So, I think that's what I'll do--especially since Kevin made the suggestion.
So anyway--I pulled out my Hero Arts Stamp and my gel pen, a few Copic makers and my Glossy Accents, and this is what came to be....

How about that shine?
I layered the coaster twice with Glossy Accents.
I love the finish product.
Well... What do you think? In the meantime, while you're formulating your thoughts, I'll share mine and read your comments later. I was visualizing a nice cool glass of lemonade atop of this coaster and it looked oh-so-FAB-u-lous. By the way, I selected to use the sentiment above from My Favorite Things because I thought it worked with just about any occasion (i.e. birthday, Mother's Day, graduation, etc.)
I hope this inspired you in some way.Once again, thanks for stopping by The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.
