Happy Hellos Everyone:
I hope your Friday has kicked-off on a footing. There's a saying that goes something like '...what a difference a day makes.' Well, if a day can have such an impact, imagine what seven days can do. This time last week, I was mentally preparing to attend the Unselds' School Wildcat Fall Festival. Just so you know every thing went well. Then so much occurred in between. Once I learned my office would be closed on Monday, I went into craft mode. In my mind, that meant I was able to stay up later than usually to craft the night away--and I did. I managed to create a few neat little projects before Super Sandy began to really rein havoc on the East Coast.
Now on to today's creation. I hope I am not boring you with my altered cigar boxes. I am a card maker at heart. However, I am in the process of preparing for a few winter craft festivals and one of the many projects I plan to bring along with me are my altered cigar boxes. Besides, it always nice to know what you think of them before I wrap them up to transport.
I absolutely fell in love with this little box. Let me just say, when I originally began creating this box it was design to use as a tea box. However, you can see the recipient can use this petite box for whatever suites his or her needs. Take a look and tell me what you would use it for. I would love to know.

As I have mentioned in previous post, simplicity in an altered box is my
preference. However, there's nothing simplistic about this DP from S.E.I.
I love it! I don't know about you, but I think pattern paper has such a vintage feel.
I did something different with this box. I covered the entire box with
one pattern and I am so glad I did. I love how it turned out. Of course
you recognize the foundations by Tim.
I found this may be a wonderful surprise for the recipient. I love how that
burst of bright orange just leaps out of the tiny little box. Don't you?
I used some Graphic 45 paper to cut out stamps. I covered the smaller stamps
with Ranger Inc. Glossy Accents, just to give it a little pop on the orange velvet DP.
I added a flower bud from the Recollections collections; a little bling; a crown
and some ribbon to accent the lid. I used one of theGraphic 45 stamp from
the stamp sheet and Tim's clear tag to create my own embellishment. Finally,
I used my favorite ribbon treatment to finish my altered box.
As always, thanks for visiting The Peddler's Gallery and come back real soon.

VERY nice Lorie!
You have been extremely busy. I love the cigar boxes. What types of
materials are you using on these? Women will go crazy for these. They look good on your dresser or coffee table, for hidden, tissues, pens, pencils, paper clips.
